As instant espresso machines become more and more popular the rituals, traditions and coming together that coffee can offer is being lost. Now one might take a minute or less to have a shot and get back to the task at hand. This minute ignores the opportunity to take a break or catch up with friends.    With the Auga Cafe people are encouraged to take time out and enjoy a break. Auga cafe is still an automated process but uses a more traditional 'pour over' method to produce the users coffee.    
       
     
 The machine is powered by Arduino and utilises the simple coding needed to power the mechanical movements. By keeping the machine topped up with coffee grinds and water the user simply has to dial in the number of people and the machines automated process takes care of the rest.
