'Sandscriber' was a group project, based on unconventional 3D modelling machines. We developed a robot capable of driving down the beach, CNC stamping art or messages into the sand behind it. In today's world so many objects are created with no longevity or thought on the product after life. Sandscriber is robust in its mechanical assembly yet the art it creates only exists as long as the tide takes to wash it away. Thus leaving a blank canvas the next day to create again.   Sandscriber uses an arduino to control stepper motors and pneumatic actuators all powered through a 12v rechargeable battery.
